China-North America International Freight Opens New Routes

2021-08-05

In the context of the continuous growth of international air cargo demand, opening more cargo routes has become a top priority.

Recently, FedEx has added an international freight route from Beijing, China to Anchorage, USA. The newly opened route departs from Beijing, stops in Osaka, Japan, and then flies to Anchorage, USA, and connects to the FedEx Super Transit Center in Memphis, USA.

It is understood that the route operates 12 flights in and out of Beijing from Monday to Saturday, providing customers in North China with more freight connections between the Asia-Pacific and North American markets. At the same time, the new flights will further enhance the capacity and provide new support and vitality for trade exchanges between regions.

In response, Chen Jialiang, President of FedEx China, said that the new route will greatly increase FedEx's capacity in North China, help promote North China, and even China's trade with the Asia-Pacific and North American markets, and help local companies enhance their international competitiveness. . According to Chen Jialiang, since the outbreak of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in 2020, FedEx has always been involved in the front line of operations, relying on its huge global network and self-organized team to provide a stable supply chain for the world. At the same time, FedEx has been operating daily flights in and out of China to provide stable and reliable transportation services for Chinese companies. The addition of the Beijing route demonstrates FedEx's confidence in the Chinese market.

Affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the world continues to face various challenges and economic downturns. China's foreign trade has maintained a strong momentum, especially the rapid development of new trade formats and new models represented by cross-border e-commerce, making China the world's largest B2C cross-border e-commerce transaction market, accounting for 26% of global transactions.

Chen Jialiang said that Beijing is an important port connecting North China with the world. In addition to this new route, FedEx currently operates other international cargo routes in Beijing, connecting Incheon, South Korea and Anchorage, the United States. The new route will double the number of FedEx international cargo flights in and out of Beijing every week, and further expand its network and capacity in North China, which will become another important milestone for the company's development in China.

It is reported that FedEx currently operates more than 300 international flights in China every week, through the Asia-Pacific transshipment center in Guangzhou, the international express and cargo center in Shanghai, and four international port operation centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. , To connect Chinese customers with FedEx's vast global network to provide fast and reliable express services.
