The EU regulations EU2019/1020 will be officially implemented on July 16, 2021. After the implementation of the new regulations, all consumer products entering the EU market (products covered by the 71 regulations listed in Annex 1 of the new regulations) need to have an economic operator in the EU (referred to as "Economic Operator" in the regulations) as a commodity partner. If the person in charge of the regulations does not have a designated person in charge, it will be regarded as non-compliant, and the goods will not be able to enter the EU market normally.

Viewpoint: Great influence on cross-border e-commerce export companies
In recent years, the EU market has seen an upward trend in the quality and safety notifications of inbound products through cross-border e-commerce channels. Compared with traditional trade, the traceability and accountability of the origin of the products have become difficult for market supervision authorities. Therefore, the EU has implemented new regulations this time. It is also to ensure that the EU government regulatory agencies can supervise and account for all products.
In addition, traditional trade generally has EU importers, so it is relatively easy to find qualified economic operators in the EU as authorized representatives. On the contrary, cross-border e-commerce export companies are relatively inconvenient. Therefore, the implementation of the new regulations will affect cross-border e-commerce companies. Export companies have a greater impact. (According to the requirements of the new regulations, the European Union has many requirements on the qualifications, responsibilities and obligations of economic operators. If the product has major safety issues, the European economic operators also need to bear corresponding legal responsibilities.)
