On November 3, AliExpress and Kazakhstan’s international foreign trade department held talks, and the two parties discussed matters such as import and export taxes.
According to reports, the meeting determined the following terms: goods with a value of no more than 200 euros or a weight of no more than 31 kilograms do not need to pay tariffs, if they exceed 200 euros, they need to pay the excess part multiplied by 15% of the tariffs; if they exceed 31 kilograms, There will be an extra charge of 2 Euros per kilogram thereafter.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Trade of Kazakhstan proposed that the current threshold of 200 euros will be reduced to 100 euros in the first half of 2022, 50 euros in the second half of 2022, and 20 euros in 2023. This means that the tariffs on AliExpress products imported into Russia will continue to increase, and Sergey Lebedev, vice president of AliExpress, has reservations about the proposal.
According to the report, the two parties also discussed the transportation of goods, pointing out that goods shipped from China to Kazakhstan usually take 60 days, and this is too long for consumers to wait. AliExpress is likely to be local in Kazakhstan in the future. Establish a logistics center to speed up the delivery time of cross-border packages.
