At the "2022 Digital Trade Development Forum" held during the 2022 Service Trade Fair, industry representatives from China, India, Japan, the Philippines and Germany shared the digital development trends and investment opportunities in various countries.


Liu Zuozhang, executive vice president of the China Council for the Promotion of International Investment, said that under the influence of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the importance of the digital economy and digital trade has greatly increased. Many countries have incorporated digital trade into their national development strategies and formulated many open policies and incentives, and these open measures are conducive to the active participation of international trade enterprises in international economic cooperation.

"During the '14th Five-Year Plan' period, China will further promote the development of digital trade, vigorously promote the high-quality development of service trade, actively carry out international cooperation in digital trade, build a demonstration zone for digital trade, promote innovation in scientific and technological systems, and strengthen mutual benefit and cooperation with countries and regions around the world. Win and develop together, help digital trade development and cooperation, share China's technological achievements in service trade, and create a bright future for the digital economy." Liu Zuozhang said.


Zhong Mingbo, chairman of the Haidian Service Trade and Service Outsourcing Enterprise Association, said that China's digital trade shows the characteristics of rapid growth in scale, continuous optimization of structure, and continuous deepening of international trade cooperation. Looking ahead, the "Chinese power" of digital trade will become more prominent.


In developing digital trade, China is not alone. Adul Dalagodi, executive director of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, said that India is gradually becoming a frontier country in the digital economy and has built a very solid information infrastructure to further bridge the digital divide between developed economies. In the future, India will further develop digital agriculture, digital retail, and digital logistics, improve business digital thinking and digital capabilities, and cultivate digital talents to achieve digital empowerment for the industry. "We are at the crossroads of economic development, and the BRICS countries, including India and China, need to work together to develop the digital economy."


"Like China, the Philippines has also actively participated in the development of digitalization of international trade, but its competitiveness is not so strong. Therefore, we are looking for more cooperation with Chinese companies in digital trade." Embassy of the Philippines in China Commercial Counselor Hong Fusheng talked about cooperation opportunities by taking game development, animation production and mobile application development as examples. In the field of game development, the Philippines has program developers and developers focusing on computers, games and online games, as well as 3D, 2D and other animation talents, and can also provide post-service services including English translation of game versions and global version testing and promotion. etc. Chinese companies can outsource business in these areas to Philippine companies.


"In the future, the development of green cities, including new energy vehicles and green travel, is a very big opportunity, which is also a development opportunity that both German and Chinese companies are focusing on." Zhu Dewei, representative of the German Federal Trade and Invest in China, said that he hoped " "Going out" and Chinese companies going to Germany can focus on this field. In the near future, Germany needs to install home charging boxes in more than 900,000 households, and it also needs to further promote the development of autonomous driving technology and promote changes in the entire travel field. In addition, the rapid development of e-commerce in Germany has increased the demand for logistics automation. Some Chinese companies have already launched e-commerce business in Germany and promoted the use of logistics robots. In areas such as telemedicine, Germany also needs to further promote the digitalization of international trade and attract more investment.


Atsushi Kawamoto, President of the International Department of the Japan Information Service Industry Association, said: "The Chinese market has always been a very critical market for JISA member companies, and member companies have established many development centers in China. I hope that Chinese IT service companies and Japanese IT service companies can better cooperation."
