According to Changsha Customs data, from January to October this year, Hunan stabilized its foreign trade base and achieved a total import and export volume of 562.83 billion yuan, up 21.6% year on year. Among them, the export was 412.48 billion yuan, up 29.5% year on year. In October, Hunan's import and export amounted to 68.72 billion yuan, up 38.4% year on year and 15.3% month on month.
Hunan Africa trade reached a new high. According to customs data, in the first 10 months, Hunan's import and export to Africa amounted to 46.13 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 50.5%, ranking first in central and western China. Relying on the platform of China Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Pilot Zone, Hunan's new trade with Africa has developed rapidly. According to customs data, in the first 10 months, Hunan's procurement and export to the African market reached 1.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.7 times; 64.13 million yuan was imported from Africa, with a year-on-year growth of 130.3%. The import of high-quality African agricultural products enriched domestic consumers' dining tables.
According to customs data, Hunan's imports and exports to ASEAN, the United States, the European Union and other major trading partners have increased. ASEAN remains the largest trading partner of Hunan, accounting for 20.5% of Hunan's total foreign trade value. Hunan's import and export to 64 countries along the "the Belt and Road" totaled 199.71 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 48.7%, accounting for more than one-third of the total foreign trade value.
The import and export of private enterprises grew rapidly, and the development trend of the Comprehensive Bonded Area was good. According to customs data, in the first 10 months, there were 7776 enterprises with foreign trade performance in the province, and the import and export of private enterprises increased by 29.4% year on year, accounting for more than 80% of Hunan's total foreign trade value in the same period. The import and export of the five comprehensive protection zones in the province totaled 115 billion yuan, up 11.7% year on year, and contributed 12% to the growth of foreign trade in the province.
