According to the data of Quanzhou Customs, from January to October this year, Quanzhou's international trade import and export exceeded 220 billion yuan, reaching 224.92 billion yuan, up 2.3% year on year. Among them, the export was 163.66 billion yuan and the import was 61.26 billion yuan (up 24%). In the first 10 months, Quanzhou's international trade import and export showed four characteristics as a whole:

First, 70% of general trade imports and exports. From January to October, Quanzhou's general trade import and export amounted to 163.66 billion yuan, an increase of 13.2%, accounting for 72.1% of the total foreign trade value; The import and export of market procurement was 47.68 billion yuan, up 16.2%, accounting for 21.2% of the total foreign trade value.

Second, private enterprises accounted for more than 60% of international trade imports and exports. From January to October, the import and export of private enterprises reached 145.28 billion yuan, accounting for 64.6%. The import and export of foreign-funded enterprises reached 73.82 billion yuan, an increase of 34.7%, accounting for 32.8%.

Third, imports and exports to the four major trading partners grew steadily. From January to October, imports and exports to ASEAN countries, Saudi Arabia, the United States and the European Union were 59.61 billion yuan, 37.22 billion yuan, 26.18 billion yuan and 25.14 billion yuan respectively, up 4.5%, 31.8%, 0.2% and 11.1% year on year, respectively, accounting for 26.5%, 16.5%, 11.6% and 11.2% of Quanzhou's total international trade import and export value. The above countries accounted for 65.9% in total. Particularly noteworthy is that the import and export to countries along the "the Belt and Road" reached 122.16 billion yuan, up 12.4%, accounting for 54.3%.

Fourth, the export of labor-intensive products, such as footwear and clothing, and mechanical and electrical products, was 87.64 billion yuan and 29.86 billion yuan respectively, accounting for 71.8% of Quanzhou's total foreign trade export value. The import of crude oil, agricultural products, mechanical and electrical products, and food was mainly 39.51 billion yuan, 4.88 billion yuan, 4.47 billion yuan, and 4.2 billion yuan, respectively, accounting for 86.6% of Quanzhou's total international trade export value.
