According to customs data, the total import and export value of Hubei Province in the first three quarters reached 469.09 billion yuan, up 22.1% year on year, 12.2 percentage points higher than that of the whole country. Among them, the total export value reached 317.93 billion yuan, up 30.8%.

According to customs data, from the perspective of product categories, mechanical and electrical products still maintain the C position, accounting for 47.7% of the province's total export value. Through in-depth analysis, it will be found that mechanical and electrical products with high added value are becoming a new force to promote export growth. In the first three quarters, the export of integrated circuits, automobiles and lithium-ion batteries increased by 57.6% in total, which means the further optimization of Hubei's industrial structure. Products can not compete in the international market without more and more convenient access to the sea. Just this week, Wuhan Russia container direct waterway route completed its first flight, which is the third international waterway route opened in Wuhan.

This year, the China Europe Express has also achieved seamless connection with Yangluo Port. Containers can get off the ship and go to 108 cities in Eurasia. Relying on the "Japan South Korea Wuhan Europe sea rail intermodal international logistics channel", the annual container handling capacity of Yangluo Port has exceeded 2 million TEUs, ranking first among inland ports in China.

The rapid and steady increase in foreign trade cannot be separated from the growing "circle of friends". According to customs data, in the first three quarters of this year, Hubei's imports and exports to other 14 member countries of RCEP totaled 141.19 billion yuan, an increase of 21.7%, accounting for 30% of the province's total import and export value in the same period. In the production workshop of Hubei Zhenhua Chemical Co., Ltd., a batch of chromic anhydride will be exported to Japan. According to customs data, after the RCEP took effect this year, Japan reduced the original tariff of 3.3% to zero, which increased the total volume of products exported to Japan by more than 30% year on year.

Li Zhenhan, Deputy Director of Statistics and Analysis Division of Wuhan Customs: "The economic aggregate of RCEP member countries is large, and the industrial structure of Hubei Province is highly complementary and integrated. In the first three quarters, the export of mechanical and electrical products, labor-intensive products, and basic organic chemicals from our province to RCEP member countries increased by 26.9%, 55%, and 33.7% year on year respectively."

Since this year, customs, commerce and other departments have successively introduced a series of policies to stabilize foreign trade, which have boosted enterprise confidence and injected vitality into Hubei's new advantages in opening up.
