Influenced by repeated epidemics, global inflation, energy crisis and other unexpected factors, the supply chain of the global industrial chain is under pressure, international demand is shrinking as a whole, and the impact on foreign trade orders is increasingly apparent. Most international trade enterprises in Ningbo have not been able to participate in overseas exhibitions, visit customers offline and carry out normal economic and trade exchanges for nearly three years.

"Very excited." Chen Yuan, the general manager of Ningbo Kangda Electronics Co., Ltd., said in an interview that he planned to visit customers as soon as possible and discuss cooperation issues face to face.

As a "foreign trader" who has worked for many years, Chen Yuan said that the company has cooperated with customers in Dubai for more than 10 years, but the proportion of international trade exports is less than 5%, so there is a large space for cooperation.

Since 2022, many international trade enterprises in Ningbo have reported that overseas demand has declined, orders have declined significantly, and the risk of order transfer has increased. Foreign trade enterprises are increasingly urgent to stabilize orders and expand the market.

According to Zhang Shuiqing, the head of the "One Hundred Groups, One Thousand Enterprises and Ten Thousand People" working group, Ningbo's manufacturing and foreign trade are now "flying on both wings", and enterprises have a strong desire to go out and expand the market. "Recently, there are many exhibitions and market opportunities in Europe, America, West Asia and Southeast Asia, and we hope that international trade enterprises can expand cooperation space through this action."

"The first stop of this action will go to Dubai, the central city of the Middle East market." According to Fei Jianming, director of the Foreign Trade Promotion Department of Ningbo Municipal Bureau of Commerce, they will attend several international influential exhibitions next, hoping that foreign trade enterprises can seize opportunities from them.

According to Li Feng, the relevant person in charge of Harley Hi International Convention and Exhibition Group's office in China, the Saudi Intelligent Manufacturing Exhibition of Chinese brand goods will be held in Saudi Arabia from December 14 to 16. At present, dozens of Ningbo enterprises have decided to participate in the exhibition. "Saudi enterprises very much hope that our small and medium-sized enterprises can bring good products to the exhibition, and the end of the year is also the best time for overseas procurement."
