With this certificate, this batch of exported garlic can be exempted from customs duties of about 20000 yuan (RMB, the same below) at the time of customs clearance in Japan.
"With the RCEP certificate of origin, our garlic can currently enter the Japanese market with a 1.1 percentage point reduction in tariff." Zhang Congxuan, the manager of the above-mentioned enterprise, said that the customs data showed that in 2022, the company shared the tariff reduction of 350000 yuan by using the RCEP certificate of origin.
According to customs data, since 2022, Linyi Customs has continued to exert its functional advantages to promote the implementation of the RCEP policy and has issued a total of 3821 certificates of origin of the RCEP, helping the city's export enterprises to enjoy the tariff reduction of 18.16 million yuan from the import country; Accepted 5.635 million yuan of imported goods with preferential tax rate under RCEP, and the preferential products covered chemical, mechanical and electrical categories.
One year after the official entry into force of the RCEP, Linyi Customs has continued to exert its functional advantages to promote the implementation of the policy, and successfully issued the first RCEP certificate of origin for export commodities purchased from the market in Shandong. Relevant experience and practices have been selected as the best practice cases of the RCEP in Shandong Province.
According to customs data, in 2022, the import and export of Linyi, Shandong Province and the member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) reached 87.89 billion yuan, up 36.4% from the previous year (the same below), and 29.7 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate of the city's import and export; It accounted for 46.9% of the city's total import and export value, up 10.2 percentage points. Customs data showed that general trade was the main mode of trade, with import and export of 47.93 billion yuan, up 48% year on year.
In 2022, private enterprises in Linyi will be the main force of import and export, with import and export of 82.98 billion yuan, accounting for 94.4% of the total import and export value to other member countries of RCEP (the same below). According to customs data, ASEAN and South Korea are the top two trading partners, with import and export growth of 39.1% and 47.7% respectively, accounting for 86.1% in total. Labour-intensive products such as clothing, plastics, toys and electromechanical products are the traditional competitive export products of the city, with a substantial increase of 73.6% and 56.9% respectively, driving a total export growth of 41 percentage points; Agricultural products, metal ores and mineral sands are key import commodities, accounting for 48.6% of the total import value.
