On January 16, the 2022 customs data of enterprises registered in Hunan, Chongqing and Lhasa Comprehensive Bonded Zone were learned from the local customs.

According to Changsha Customs data, the total import and export value of Hunan Province will reach 705.82 billion yuan (RMB, the same below) in 2022, an increase of 20.2% over 2021, and a breakthrough of 700 billion yuan for the first time. Among them, the export was 515.46 billion yuan, up 25.3% year on year, and the import was 190.36 billion yuan, up 8.3% year on year.

From the perspective of trading partners, in 2022, Hunan has established economic and trade exchanges with 227 countries and regions, and "Xiang" enterprises have entered 109 countries and regions. ASEAN, the United States and the European Union are the top three trading partners of Hunan, with imports and exports of 149.7 billion yuan, 82.21 billion yuan and 62.42 billion yuan respectively, accounting for more than 40% of the total imports and exports of Hunan.

In terms of products, in 2022, Hunan's import and export products mainly include mechanical and electrical products, labor-intensive products, mineral products, agricultural products and other categories. Among them, the traditional export advantage products, such as rail transit, construction machinery, fireworks, ceramics, vegetables, etc., continue to maintain rapid growth.

Wang Honghan, deputy director of Chongqing Customs and press spokesman, said that according to customs data, the total import and export value of Chongqing's foreign trade in 2022 reached 815.84 billion yuan, a record high, an increase of 2% over the same period last year. Among the 12 provinces, autonomous regions and cities in western China, Chongqing's foreign trade import and export value continues to rank second.

Wang Honghan said that the comprehensive bonded zone (hereinafter referred to as the comprehensive bonded zone) is the main support for Chongqing's foreign trade. According to customs data, in 2022, the import and export of Chongqing Comprehensive Bonded Zone will be 535.82 billion yuan, accounting for 65.7% of the total import and export value of Chongqing in the same period. At present, the customs has supported Chongqing to form an open platform system of "1 free trade pilot zone+6 comprehensive bonded logistics zones (Xiyong, Lianglu Guoyuan Port, Jiangjin, Yongchuan, Wanzhou, Fuling)+4 bonded logistics centers". The import and export value of the comprehensive bonded logistics zones accounts for more than 65% of Chongqing's foreign trade for five consecutive years.

In addition, Chongqing Customs also strengthened the tracking research on the technical trade measures of ASEAN countries, promoted the implementation of tariff concessions to take effect, and guided enterprises to make good use of the policy dividend of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (RCEP) and reduce operating costs. In 2022, Chongqing Customs issued 979 RCEP certificates of origin, with a visa amount of 479 million yuan.

According to the data of Lhasa Customs, from January to November 2022, the total import and export value of enterprises registered in Lhasa Comprehensive Bonded Zone was 932 million yuan, accounting for 22.39% of the total import and export value of Tibet's foreign trade.

As the first special customs supervision area in Tibet, Lhasa Comprehensive Bonded Zone is a new driving force for promoting the development of Tibet's foreign trade and a new platform for opening up. On May 27, 2022, Lhasa Comprehensive Bonded Zone successfully passed the national acceptance. On July 20, the same year, it was officially closed for operation. At present, there are 18 enterprises in the Comprehensive Bonded Zone registered in Lhasa Customs, covering bonded processing, bonded logistics and other enterprises.
