We also welcome enterprises from ASEAN countries to invest in Guangxi's advantageous industries such as steel, new metal materials, equipment manufacturing, new chemical materials, sugar manufacturing, and deepen cooperation in new areas such as digital economy and green economy," Yang Chunting said.

Yang Chunting also hoped that the participating consular officials would actively play the role of a bridge, jointly promote the establishment of an effective cooperation mechanism between the domestic commercial departments, local governments and Guangxi, promote the joint construction of new channels of international trade, and deepen the development of economic and trade cooperation. The Consul General of the Royal Thai Consulate General in Nanning, Bingama Tavetayan, said that Thailand is willing to strengthen win-win cooperation with Guangxi in the fields of trade and investment, focusing on strengthening the development and cooperation in the fields of digital economy, smart logistics and so on. She is very looking forward to the accelerated opening of more ports such as Longbang and Shuikou.

The Consul General of the Consulate General of the Republic of Myanmar in Nanning, Kyaw Sueden, said that Myanmar is willing to expand cooperation with Guangxi in economy, trade, investment and technical cooperation, and attract investment in manufacturing, energy and service industries.

Du Nanzhong, Consul General of the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Nanning, said that the economic and trade relations between Vietnam and Guangxi are inseparable. As China optimizes the epidemic prevention and control measures, Vietnam welcomes Guangxi to actively send a delegation to Vietnam to jointly explore business opportunities.

Long Watana, Acting Consul General of the Royal Consulate General of Cambodia in Nanning, said that Cambodia hopes to strengthen cooperation with Guangxi, pave the way for Cambodian products, especially agricultural products, to enter the Chinese market through Guangxi, and promote the joint construction of a new channel for international trade.

According to the data provided by the Department of Commerce of Guangxi, in 2022, Guangxi continued to promote economic and trade cooperation with ASEAN to a new level, with the import and export volume of international trade with ASEAN reaching 281.11 billion yuan. Among them, the import and export of international trade to the Philippines, Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia and Myanmar increased by 128.4%, 99.1%, 88.3%, 73.8% and 68.6% respectively year on year.
