Following the closure of the Fifth Avenue flagship store in New York in 2015, the old American toy retailer FAO Schwarz returned to New York in November 2018 and opened a new flagship store in Rockefeller Center in Manhattan. In order to promote global expansion, FAO Schwarz opened pop-up stores in 90 Hudson’s Bay Company department stores in the UK, Canada and other markets in October. Earlier, FAO Schwarz also announced a cooperation with Kidsland, China's largest toy distributor, to enter the Chinese market and open flagship stores in Beijing and Shanghai. However, the continuing epidemic has made toy manufacturers unexpected.

Lunchables, a global food company, recently announced the takeover of FAO Schwarz and the launch of a cooperative toy series.
Lunchables has been allowing children to use their lunchtime favorites to be creative for more than 30 years, and now this beloved brand is taking creativity even further. Lunchables is collaborating with FAO Schwarz to launch Lunchables Kits, a limited-edition build kit that allows children to stimulate their imagination and launch immersive experiences in New York’s historic FAO Schwarz, including surrealism Lunchables creation.
The three new Lunchabilds kits will be released on FAOSchwarz.com on Friday, September 3, 10 a.m. Central Time. The price of each kit is 100 US dollars, but the value is more than 2000 US dollars. Each kit is modeled after a different Lunchables creation, including a Lunchables package, a blueprint and "an otherworldly experience that can inspire future creators-such as a galaxy tour, a tour of architectural wonders or a visit to an iconic zoo." Toolkits are only available online, and each family can only use one.

"For many years, kids have been dreaming, building and creating with Lunchables," said Rachel Drof, Kraft Heinz Marketing Director. "Like other traditional toys, Lunchables cultivates creativity and individuality by encouraging children to use their imagination while playing and building food. Now, we go one step further and provide children with tools to use Lunchables to build what they can imagine Anything you arrive—like rocket ships or robots. With Lunchables, if you can build it, then you can eat it!"
And, in September, visitors to New York’s historic FAO Schwarz can enjoy an immersive, hands-on experience. In the largest store acquisition to date, the experience will showcase the creation of Lunchables through the store and the storefront windows of Rockefeller Plaza. These otherworldly buildings include a 6-foot-tall Cracker Stacker rocket ship, a Kabobble Trojan Horse, and a Pepperoni Pizza UFO.
The limited edition Lunchabilds kit will only be available on FAOSchwarz.com-available for purchase at 10 am on Friday, September 3.
