Vietnam's second largest toy factory "GFT International" will be listed in Hong Kong

After three submissions to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, Vietnam's toy manufacturing giant, GFT International Holdings Co., Ltd. ("GFT International"), will be listed in Hong Kong, China.


According to foreign media reports: GFT International has launched an IPO (initial public offering) pre-road show today (June 13), and will soon be offering shares. The initial plan is to raise 40 million US dollars (equivalent to about 312 million Hong Kong dollars), BNP PARIBAS is its exclusive Sponsor.


GFT International started toy manufacturing business in 1999. Since 2007, GFT International has expanded and gradually moved its main production capacity to Vietnam. It is currently the largest provider of plastic and metal toy production solutions in Vietnam. Frost & Sullivan In terms of annual revenue, it has a market share of 26.4%; it is the second largest toy manufacturer in Vietnam with a market share of 15.8%.


According to the data, in the 2018-2021 fiscal year, GFT International’s revenue was 277 million US dollars, 313 million US dollars, 351 million US dollars and 430 million US dollars, respectively, and the gross profit was 45.31 million, 45.342 million, 42.343 million and 51.884 million US dollars, respectively, after tax Post profits were US$17.09 million, US$6.14 million, US$17.86 million and US$17.9 million.


During the Track Record Period, GFT International has served more than 30 clients, including a number of world-renowned brands. According to Frost & Sullivan, among the top seven toy brands in the world in terms of revenue in 2020, Tomei, Hasbro, Spinmaster and Mattel were the top five customers of GFT International during the track record period.

GFT International has three production plants in Vietnam and one in China. The company's production plants have a total of more than 120 assembly lines with a total construction area of approximately 140,000 square meters. As of December 31, 2021, the company's production plants and offices employed over 9,700 employees, of which over 8,500 were working in Vietnam.


Through listing and fundraising, GFT International plans to use the funds to implement and upgrade Industry 4.0 technology and automation, conduct strategic acquisitions or business cooperation with existing and potential business partners, and invest in ERP system upgrades.
