The cooperation of toy giants seems to be becoming a trend. Following the historical linkage between Lego and Hasbro, the two Japanese toy giants have also joined forces for the first time: at the Tokyo Toy Fair a few days ago, Bandai and Tomei held a joint press conference to announce announced the news of the cooperative research and development of new products, and unveiled the veil of two new products, which are scheduled to be launched in 2023.
The news of this collaboration is quite surprising. You know, these two companies can be said to be old rivals in the Japanese market. At the exhibition site, the booths of the two companies are located in the largest and most conspicuous positions at both ends of the exhibition hall, which means "the king does not see the king". But this year, a fantastic collaborative project was launched for the first time, and the project name was "Dream Together". There are two new products developed in this cooperation project, and the two companies lead one of them. Today, let's introduce in detail the key points of the two companies when they cooperate in R&D and product design:
Bandai Spirits launches: Super Alloy x Zoids

This product combines Bandai's Super Alloy series and Dome's Soth Machine Beast series. When introducing the design concept, the designer presents the agility and flexibility of the Soth Machine Beast with the unique concept of metal lifeforms of the super alloy series. Different from thinking about how to carry the power when Domei designed the Soth machine beast series in the past, the designers of Bandai focused on the flexible and natural posture presentation, which can present the impressive scenes in the show of the same name.
The designer said that since elementary school, he has been fond of the Soth Machine Beast series. In this project, he poured his childhood emotion into creating the best dream and the best product!
Tomei launches: Tomei Card × Gundam

The designer has different feelings for Gundam, and is both surprised and happy that Gundam can be commercialized through Dome Card.
When developing this product, the designers kept the product details as much as possible without changing the animation settings, and incorporated the unique deformability of the Domeka series. The point is to ensure that the product maintains the consistent mini size and safety of Domeka, while incorporating Gundam elements to create a product that is popular with fans.
Both products will be shown to the public from late July at the Tamai Ethnic Store in Tokyo and the Fujia Store in Tokyo, before they go on sale officially in 2023.
