New forces in international trade! On June 30, the third China Africa economic and Trade Expo held in Changsha opened the China Africa Cooperation Forum on traditional Chinese medicine for the first time, building a platform for international trade cooperation in the medical industry between China and Africa.

Shijiazhuang Yiling Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., which participated in the meeting, signed the TCM service project with the Nigerian representative on June 30. Sunxuefei, the representative of the company, said that this means that Chinese patent medicines registered in Africa can not only be sold through pharmacies, but also enter hospitals in Nigeria.

Sunxuefei said that Yiling pharmaceutical can provide four traditional Chinese medicine products including Lianhua Qingwen to Nigerian hospitals. The company's drugs have been registered in 8 African countries such as Zimbabwe and Kenya.

In an interview with reporters, Zimbabwean ambassador to China martinchedondo said that traditional Chinese medicine treatment and traditional Chinese medicine are highly accepted by the Zimbabwean people. The Zimbabwean mission participating in the Expo hopes to introduce the cultivation, production and processing technology of traditional Chinese medicine into Zimbabwe through this platform.

Cheetondo has seen a large area of land in China used for growing traditional Chinese medicine. He said that Zimbabwe hopes to introduce the whole TCM industry chain and recommend more local enterprises to participate in the development.

Zhuwei, deputy director of the Department of acupuncture, massage and rehabilitation of Hunan hospital of integrated traditional Chinese and Western Medicine (Affiliated Hospital of Hunan Academy of traditional Chinese Medicine), is the leader of the 19th batch of Chinese (Hunan) medical team to aid Zimbabwe. He just returned home from a one-year foreign aid in March. He said that the hospital has undertaken the training project of traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture talents in Zimbabwe aided by the National Health Commission. Last year, the first batch of local acupuncture and moxibustion talents graduated.

Zhu Wei said that through the Expo, many African dignitaries and entrepreneurs came to China for inspection, and many people were interested in Chinese traditional medicine and acupuncture. There are also many high-quality medicinal plants in Africa. There is a great demand for further cooperation between China and Africa in promoting international trade in the fields of traditional Chinese medicine trade, cultivation, development and research of medicinal materials.

Diarra, vice chairman of the China Africa Friendship Association Alliance, recommended at the China Africa Forum on international trade cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine that traditional Chinese medicine can drive the development of traditional African medicine.

Diarra comes from a family of doctors in the Republic of Mali in Africa. He came to China in 1984 and studied Chinese medicine in many Chinese medicine universities. He is the first foreigner from Chengdu University of traditional Chinese medicine to obtain a doctor's degree in traditional Chinese medicine.

Diarra is going to write a book on the subject of mutual learning between Chinese and African herbal medicines, analyzing the similarities and differences in the use and efficacy of herbal medicines such as Albizzia julibrissin and Albizzia bark, which are used in both Chinese traditional medicine and African traditional medicine.

The China Africa Forum on international trade cooperation in traditional Chinese medicine is hosted by the Hunan Provincial People's government and the State Administration of traditional Chinese medicine, which is jointly hosted by the Hunan Provincial Administration of traditional Chinese medicine and the China Pharmaceutical Materials Association.
