In order to fully implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions on the expansion of characteristic service export bases, and implement the "Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Promoting the Inheritance and Innovative Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine" on the decision and deployment of promoting Chinese medicine to go global, the Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine The Bureau and other 7 departments jointly issued the "Notice on Several Measures to Support the High-Quality Development of National Traditional Chinese Medicine Service Export Bases" (Shangfu Trade Guifa﹝2021﹞73) to improve the system and mechanism, innovate supporting policies, and enhance the level of convenience , Expand international cooperation space, strengthen personnel training and incentives, propose 18 specific policies and measures, focus on improving the development environment, form a joint force of departmental policies, support the national Chinese medicine service export base to vigorously develop Chinese medicine service trade, and promote the trend of Chinese medicine service world.

At present, the Ministry of Commerce and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine have identified 17 national Chinese medicine service export bases including Guang'anmen Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. After nearly two years of construction, the national Chinese medicine service export base has become an important force in the development of Chinese medicine service trade and promoting Chinese medicine to go global. In the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will work with relevant departments to expand the scope of the base in an orderly manner, implement policies well, support the base to achieve high-quality development, and enhance the international influence of Chinese medicine.
