On June 7th, according to statistics from Manzhouli Customs, in the first four months of this year, the export of pharmaceuticals to Russia through the Manzhouli port increased by 2.2%, accounting for 68% of the value of pharmaceutical exports during the same period.
According to news from the website of Manzhouli City Government on the 7th, statistics show that in the first four months of this year, the value of medical materials and medicines exported through Manzhouli Port was 130 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 31.1%. Among them, the value of exports in April was 36.967 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.7%.
According to statistics, in the first four months, companies exporting pharmaceuticals through Manzhouli Port were mainly in Shandong and Guangdong Provinces. The export of enterprises in the two provinces increased by 8.4% and 266% respectively year-on-year, accounting for a total of 63.4%. The main export markets were Russia and Belarus. Exports to Russia increased by 2.2% year-on-year, accounting for 68%, and exports to Belarus increased by 157% year-on-year, accounting for 24.7%; the main export drugs were antibiotics (except preparations), and exports increased by 63.7% year-on-year, accounting for 84.4%.
According to the customs, preliminary analysis shows that the main reason for the increase in pharmaceutical exports is that China’s domestic epidemic is well controlled, but the overseas epidemic situation is still severe, leading to a rapid increase in international demand for Chinese APIs, especially antiviral APIs and antibiotic APIs. In particular, drugs related to the prevention and treatment of pneumonia and anti-epidemic materials have achieved rapid growth, which has boosted China's pharmaceutical exports.
