Aba Prefecture People’s Hospital has voluntarily handed in 173 people for violations of discipline. The illegal income was 3.367 million yuan.

The investigation and handling of the Gu Yunqi case is an epitome of the systematic management of outstanding problems in the medical and health field carried out by the discipline inspection and supervision organs of Sichuan Province. At the same time, punishments for violations in the medical and health field are being carried out simultaneously. The province has suspended or cancelled the medical insurance agreements of 954 medical institutions, and recovered 1.209 billion yuan in medical insurance funds.

The Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital alone cancelled 64 illegal suppliers, put 9 illegal suppliers on the "blacklist", permanently ceased cooperation and sent a copy to the market supervision and management department.

At the same time, in response to the common problems of pharmaceutical procurement exposed in the case, the Aba Prefecture Commission for Discipline Inspection convened the prefectural finance bureau, health and health commission and other departments to make recommendations on regulating the procurement of medical equipment and reducing procurement prices. The equipment is purchased in a centralized manner, the intermediate links of the agents are eliminated, and the manufacturers are directly supplied.
