Since 2018, the Chinese government has attached great importance to the cooperation of the BRICS countries in the field of traditional medicine, especially international exchanges and cooperation in the application of traditional medicine in the prevention and treatment of major diseases and emerging infectious diseases. China has cooperated with Russia to establish the China-Russia Chinese Medicine Center (Moscow) and China-Russia Chinese Medicine Center (St. Petersburg), and promoted the signing of memorandums of understanding on cooperation in the field of traditional medicine with the relevant departments of India, Brazil and other countries.
