The coverage of grass-roots Chinese medicine has expanded significantly

Zhao Wenhua said that the grassroots traditional Chinese medicine service network tends to be improved. By the end of 2020, 76.7% of the county-level areas in the country have set up public county-level traditional Chinese medicine hospitals; 87% of county-level general hospitals and 64% of county-level maternal and child health service institutions have TCM departments, 85% of community health service stations and 68% of the village clinics are equipped with TCM diagnosis and treatment equipment; there are 5,473 county-level non-public TCM hospitals, 3,544 outpatient departments, 63,000 clinics, and 21,382 TCM clinics on record.

Against this background, my country has initially established a traditional Chinese medicine service system covering urban and rural areas, integrating preventive health care, disease treatment and rehabilitation. As of the end of 2020, there are 36,300 TCM centers across the country, 99% of community health service centers, 98% of township health centers, 90.6% of community health service stations and 74.5% of village clinics are capable of serving TCM. .
