Qaidam wolfberry is produced in China's second largest wolfberry planting base - Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province. The prefecture is located in the hinterland of the Qaidam Basin, one of the "four ultra-clean zones" in the world. There is no pollution source within a radius of 300 square kilometers. It has a unique type, the pest damage of wolfberry is extremely light, and the amount and frequency of use of pesticides are very small. It is a natural and excellent ecological area for the growth of wolfberry.

According to different growth environments, wolfberry is divided into four categories: ordinary wolfberry, pollution-free wolfberry, green wolfberry and organic wolfberry. Among them, the content of flavonoids, polysaccharides, amino acids and other organic substances of Lycium barbarum grown in the Qaidam Basin is higher than that of other production areas in China. It is the most suitable area for the production of organic Lycium barbarum in the world. At present, the planting area of wolfberry in Quanzhou, Haixi reaches hundreds of thousands of mu, and the output value of the whole industry chain of wolfberry has exceeded 10 billion yuan. Among them, the certified organic wolfberry planting area is more than 100,000 mu, which is the largest area of organic wolfberry planting in China.

"The use of special signs for geographical indications has been approved by the State Intellectual Property Office, which has more powerfully promoted geographical indications to help rural revitalization.
