The growth of Bozhou in the field of international trade and export of traditional Chinese medicine is a microcosm of Anhui Province's promotion of "going out" of traditional Chinese medicine.

According to Wu Huacheng, deputy director of the Chinese Medicine Development Department of the Anhui Provincial Health Commission, in 2021, the import and export volume of Chinese herbal medicines and Chinese-style finished medicines in Anhui will reach 845 million yuan. In recent years, Anhui has carried out bilateral exchanges of Chinese medicine technology and culture with more than 30 countries including Russia, the United States, and Germany, and established the Athens Chinese Medicine Center of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine to promote international cooperation in Chinese medicine.

In May of this year, Anhui Province issued the "Anhui Province Action Plan for Promoting the Revitalization and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine (2022-2024)", pointing out that Anhui will build a high-quality Chinese medicine service export base and overseas warehouses, and explore new business forms and models for the export of traditional Chinese medicine services. Create a world-renowned brand of traditional Chinese medicine services.

In view of the export difficulties such as the large differences in Chinese medicine regulations and standards among countries that import and export Chinese medicines in international trade, Bozhou College and Bozhou Customs have jointly translated and sorted out the technical regulations and standards of the Chinese herbal medicine industry in more than a dozen countries and regions, including Russia, South Korea and Japan. , conformity assessment procedures and other regulatory system content to help Chinese medicine go abroad more smoothly.
