The Bolivian National Daily reported on May 15 that INE data showed that in 2020, Bolivia imported household appliances from 53 countries and regions around the world, with China as the primary source of imports, with an import value of 47 million U.S. dollars, accounting for Bolivia’s household appliances imports. 44% of the total. Brazil is the second largest source of imports, accounting for 28%, followed by Mexico (8%), Thailand (3%), Turkey (3%) and others (14%).

In addition, the data also shows that between 2013 and 2020, the top four household appliances imported by Bolivia are: refrigerators (imports of 52 million US dollars, imports of 12,900 tons), kitchen appliances (17 million US dollars, 5220 tons) ), air conditioners (US$17 million, 3481 tons) and washing machines (US$15 million, 3734 tons).
