From January to April, home furnishing exports were +32.6% compared to the same period in 19 years,

Exports in April increased month-on-month, and were better than the same period before the epidemic. According to the data of the General Administration of Customs, the export value in April 21 was 263.924 billion US dollars, +32.3% year-on-year, which was a month-on-month increase from the 24.085 billion US dollars in March 21, and was significantly better than the 193.606 billion US dollars in April 19 and 21 years 1-4. The monthly export value was 973.695 billion US dollars, an increase of 44% year-on-year, and an increase of 30.67% from January-April 2019. The export boom continued.

The export container index increased significantly year-on-year, and exceeded the level of the same period before the epidemic. Judging from the performance of the China Export Container Index (CCFI), the CCFI composite index in April 21 was 1895.60, an increase of 114.86% year-on-year, and an increase of 137.05% year-on-year.

The replenishment of American manufacturers lags behind retailers and wholesalers, and the direction of replenishment ranges from consumer goods to capital goods and intermediate goods. The total US inventory/manufacturer’s inventory/retailer’s inventory/wholesaler’s inventory in March 21 was +0%/+3%/-7%/+5% year-on-year. The import value of intermediate goods/consumer goods/capital goods in March 21 was +4.53%/+37.99%/+16.49% year-on-year, and the direction of replenishment was from consumer goods to capital goods and intermediate goods.

The furniture export boom remains the same. The cumulative export of furniture and parts from January to April 2021 was US$22.423 billion, +28% year-on-year. The cumulative export of furniture and parts in the same period in 2019 was US$16.910 billion. The cumulative export value from January to April of 21 has exceeded the level of the same period before the epidemic. The furniture export boom remains the same.

The export of PVC flooring continued to be prosperous. From January to April, the cumulative export value of PVC flooring (customs code 39181190) was 1.91 billion US dollars, an increase of 46.1% over the same period in 19 years.

In April 21, the monthly export volume reached 536 million US dollars, which was an increase from the 450 million US dollars in March 21, and was an increase of 60.7% from the 334 million US dollars in April 19. The export volume this year increased monthly.

The demand for functional office chairs increased. From January to April, the export value of office chairs (customs code 940130 adjustable height rotating seats) was RMB 10.059 billion, an increase of 85.3% over the same period in 19 years. In April 21, the monthly export value reached 2.967 billion yuan, which was an increase of 2.322 billion yuan in March 21 and an increase of 112.70% from the 1.395 billion yuan in April 19th.

The export of spring mattresses is higher than the level before the epidemic. In April 2021, the export value of spring mattresses (customs code 940410) was 471 million yuan, an increase of 28.68% from the 366 million yuan in April 2019. Cumulatively, the cumulative export value of spring mattresses from January to April 2021 is 1.761 billion yuan, which is 5.11% higher than the 1.675 billion yuan export value of the same period in 19 years.

The category of metal frame sofas such as functional sofas has grown significantly. From January to April 2021, the export value of metal frame sofa (customs code 940171) was 19.8 billion yuan, an increase of 52.7% from the 12.96 billion yuan in the same period in 19 years.

From January to April, functional office chairs, metal frame sofas, and PVC flooring performed better in household export categories. We believe that the export value of light industry has increased month-on-month. Compared with the same period in 19 years, the export value has increased significantly. The trend of replenishing inventory in overseas markets remains unchanged, and the export of consumer furniture products is still booming.
