Citing Fordaq, the world's largest trading data platform for wood products, in the first nine months of 2021, the sales of German furniture manufacturers increased by 2.7% to 12.7 billion euros (about 91.8 billion yuan).

u3000u3000 Divided by furniture structure type and function, as of the end of September, the sales of kitchen furniture manufacturers increased by 10.8% year-on-year to 4.2 billion euros; the sales of upholstered furniture manufacturers increased by 13.3% year-on-year to 745 million euros. Commenting on the performance of the furniture business in the first three quarters, Jan Kurth, Managing Director of the German Furniture Industry Association, said: "The furniture industry has achieved stable performance in this challenging environment. However, it is foreseeable that due to the value-added tax effect in the first half of the year. For other reasons, the performance growth in the second half of the year will be lower than that in the first half of the year."

Specifically, the monthly sales of upholstered furniture manufacturers increased by 9.2% year-on-year; the monthly sales of office and commercial furniture manufacturers increased by 8.3% year-on-year; the monthly sales of kitchen furniture manufacturers increased by 2.9% year-on-year. The single-month sales of pad manufacturers increased by 0.5% year-on-year. However, the single-month sales of civil furniture and furniture component manufacturers fell 9% year-on-year.

u3000u3000 Looking forward to 2021, Jan Kurth, managing director of the German Furniture Industry Association, predicts that the sales of the German furniture industry will reach 17.2 billion euros.
