According to customs data, in June this year, the import value of wood flooring in Japan showed a significant increase. Although this has a lot to do with the depreciation of the yen, in fact, the number of wood flooring imported from Japan is also growing at the same time. According to the customs data, China accounts for 55% of the total imports of prefabricated flooring from Japan, which is the largest supplier country.

In terms of plywood, customs data show that Japan's total plywood imports in June this year were 1714700 cubic meters, an increase of 17% compared with the same period last year, and a decrease of 6% compared with May.

In addition to Russia, Asia has always been a major supplier of plywood to Japan. According to the customs data in June this year, Indonesia and Malaysia became the main plywood suppliers in Japan, accounting for about 70% of the total delivery.

Since the second quarter of this year, the quantity of plywood supplied by China to Japan has maintained a steady upward trend. According to customs data, the quantity in June has accounted for more than 20% of the total import volume, approaching 38000 cubic meters. The number of plywood from Vietnam in the Japanese market also increased by nearly 40%.

From this point of view, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam and China still maintain the advantages of last year and become the main suppliers of plywood market in Japan.

However, Japan has reduced its imports of wood and plywood from Russia, which has led to tension in Japan's plywood market and thus increased its imports from other Asian countries.
