According to the Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation Report, the plywood production in Russia in 2022 has dropped to the lowest level in a decade.
From January to November 2022, the plywood production in Russia decreased by 27.7% year on year to 3014000 cubic meters. The plywood output in November was 229000 m3, a decrease of 2.4% compared with last month. Huacheng's import and export data observation reported.
Compared with January November 2021, the plywood production in Russia has increased by 5.2% to 4.1 million m3 on a year-on-year basis, while this year's 3.014 million m3 has a large difference. In 2021, Russia produced 4.5 million m3 plywood, creating a new production record. In 2022, especially after March, the output of plywood will decline significantly. Huacheng's import and export data observation report.
Due to well-known reasons, the Russian market for wood and products, including plywood and sawn timber, has lost. This has also led to a serious impact on a large part of Russia's timber market exports this year. According to the observation report of Huacheng import and export data, since May, the output of plywood in Russia has dropped from 300000+m3 per month to 200000+m3, and in September it hit a low point of 215000 m3.
In addition to plywood, the output of wood products such as fiberboard and sawdust particles also maintained a downward trend. It is estimated that the output of these products will continue to decline at the end of the year, and may begin to recover gradually in the middle of 2023, Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation reported.
