Is the unit price of products in the mechanical industry high, such as food machinery, woodworking machinery, mining machinery, and other large, medium, and small mechanical products, occupying a place in the international trade market environment?
According to the current global PMI (Purchasing Manager Index) index of 52, it can be seen that the market environment is relatively good, with 55 in the United States, 54 in the Philippines, and 52 in Vietnam, driving market demand for food machinery, plastic machinery, machine tools, and other products.
In 2022, the international trade export volume of the machine tool industry increased by 37% year-on-year, while the international trade export volume of laser machinery increased by 61% year-on-year.
Moreover, the sustained high global commodity prices (crude oil up 55%, wheat up 51%, and lithium salt up 150% in 2022) have led to an increasing demand for agricultural machinery and energy and mineral machinery.
In 2022, the international trade export of mining machinery increased by 52% year-on-year, while the export of agricultural machinery increased by 31% year-on-year. Governments of various countries have launched infrastructure investment to stimulate strong demand for construction machinery, building materials machinery, and other machinery to drive the economy.
Especially for construction machinery, on the basis of a year-on-year increase of 62% in international trade exports in 2021, the export volume continued to increase by 45% in the first quarter of 2022.
It can be seen that the global machinery market is relatively optimistic and showing a sustained growth trend.
