According to the statistics of the China Construction Machinery Industry Association on major excavator manufacturing enterprises, 16809 excavators of various types were sold in May 2023, a year-on-year decrease of 18.5%. According to customs data, there were 6592 domestic units, a year-on-year decrease of 45.9%; Export 10217 units, a year-on-year increase of 21%.

According to customs data, from January to May 2023, a total of 93052 excavators were sold, a year-on-year decrease of 23.9%. Among them, there were 44933 domestic units, a year-on-year decrease of 43.9%; Export 48119 units, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%.

From the proportion of excavator exports to total sales, in May, China's excavator exports accounted for over 60%, reaching 60.8%. According to customs data, China's excavator exports from January to May have also surpassed domestic sales, with exports accounting for 52%.

In recent years, China's excavator exports have been booming. According to data from the China Construction Machinery Industry Association, since 2017, China's excavator exports have been continuously increasing, with the proportion of exports increasing from around 10% to 60%.

In the overseas market, there is a high demand for engineering construction in the Southeast Asian market, and the number of construction hours has continued to grow positively year-on-year for over 24 months. According to Komatsu's data, the average monthly operating hours in Southeast Asia in 2022 were 198 hours, which is 2-4 times that of other regions or countries. According to customs data, the total operating time of Indonesian excavators was 2361.8 hours, an increase of 88.1 hours year-on-year or 3.9%.

Customs data shows that in the first quarter of this year, the company's overall exports increased by over 70% year-on-year. Among them, the most significant growth and key areas for the company's efforts are the Southeast Asian and South American markets. In 2022, the company's exports to the Philippines increased by 60%, and its market in Argentina increased by 100%. This growth trend will continue in 2023.
