The customs data showed that the import volume was $3.447 billion, a year-on-year increase of -5.24%, and the export volume was $9.529 billion, a year-on-year increase of 16.22%.
Among the import amount, gasoline engine and internal combustion engine parts still declined significantly, while the other types of parts have increased year-on-year. According to the customs data, the import of diesel engines from January to may 2023 was 419million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 13.27%; Gasoline engine imports reached 190million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -33.97%; The import of other types of complete machines was US $1.122 billion, a year-on-year increase of 0.65%; The import of internal combustion engine parts was 1.482 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of -12.37%; The import of generator sets was US $234million, an increase of 34.21% year on year.
The customs data showed that in the export amount, except for the decline of other types of complete machines, the rest of the sub types increased year on year. Specifically, from January to may 2023, the export of diesel engines reached 526million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 22.66%; Gasoline engine exports reached US $656million, a year-on-year increase of 10.29%; The export of other types of complete machines was US $1.101 billion, a year-on-year increase of -1.00%; The export of internal combustion engine parts reached US $4.876 billion, a year-on-year increase of 16.68%; The export of generating units reached US $2.370 billion, a year-on-year increase of 25.77%.
