After research, the Guangdong Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau stated that in the future, it will support the development and use of domestic consumables through the establishment of medical insurance payment standards and centralized procurement coordination mechanisms, and improve the bidding procurement mechanism to support the development and use of domestic consumables and promote the replacement of domestic consumables.

Improve the recruitment mechanism and promote the substitution of domestic consumables

The Guangdong Provincial Medical Insurance Bureau stated that in the future, it will establish and improve the coordination mechanism of medical insurance payment standards and centralized procurement of medical consumables, and support the development and use of domestic high-quality medical consumables by formulating medical insurance payment standards for selected and non-selected types of medical consumables in centralized procurement. For the types of medical consumables that are not available on the procurement platform, such as emergency approvals or urgent shortages in response to public health emergencies, no actual transactions or other reasons that cause difficulty in procurement, are clinically necessary, and have very little clinical use, etc. , Medical institutions can independently negotiate purchases within 5% of the total annual purchase amount to promote domestic medical consumables to be put into clinical use as soon as possible.

At the same time, in formulating the rules for centralized procurement of medical consumables in Guangdong Province, the same group bidding policy for domestic medical consumables and imported medical consumables was implemented to enhance the price advantage of domestic medical consumables and increase the chance of domestic medical consumables being selected.

The above-mentioned requirements of Guangdong Province also means that domestic medical consumables will be given preferential treatment in the future, whether in the bidding process or in the hospital use process.

At this stage, although the degree of localization of public medical institutions is still not high, and due to the high technology-intensive characteristics of medical devices, the threshold of technology and capital is also higher, and the degree of intensification of the industry is further increasing.
