The scale of the industry has grown rapidly. In recent years, the average annual compound growth rate of the robot industry has exceeded 15%. In 2020, the scale of the national robot industry will reach 100 billion yuan. This year, the development of the robot industry continues to improve. In the first half of the year, industrial robots increased by 69.8% year-on-year.

At the press conference, the relevant person in charge of the Equipment Industry Division I of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology introduced that in recent years, the level of my country’s robot industry chain has continued to improve. The robot’s motion control, high-performance servo drive, high-precision reducer and other key core technologies and components have accelerated breakthroughs. The technical indicators of small batch production products have reached the international advanced level, and the functions and performance of the whole machine have been significantly enhanced. At the same time, integrated applications have greatly expanded. In 2019, the density of domestic manufacturing robots reached 187 units per 10,000 people, which was significantly higher than the global average.

According to reports, the 2021 World Robotics Conference will be held in Beijing from August 18th to 22nd. With the theme of "sharing new achievements and injecting new kinetic energy", the conference was hosted by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, etc., and undertaken by the Chinese Institute of Electronics and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economics and Information Technology. During the conference, events such as the World Robot Expo and the World Robot Competition will also be held at the same time.
