The latest data from the National Bureau of Statistics show that in July 2021, the output of excavators was 18,357, a year-on-year decrease of 18.4%; the cumulative output from January to July was 232,633, a year-on-year increase of 22.7%. The year-on-year growth rate of excavator production has fallen for four consecutive months, but the decline in July has narrowed by 7.3 percentage points compared with June.
In terms of tractors, the output of large, medium and small tractors in July was 6,011, 16,803, and 12,000, respectively, down 5.8%, 16%, and 29.4% year-on-year. From January to July, the cumulative output of large, medium and small tractors was 57,000, 189,000, and 109,000, respectively, an increase of 46.6%, 14.3%, and 16% year-on-year. In July, the output of small trailers fell sharply by nearly 30%, the first year-on-year decline in this year.
Overall, the output of my country's major machinery and equipment increased year-on-year from January to July. Among them, the output of large trailers increased the fastest, with a year-on-year growth rate of 46.6%; followed by metal cutting machine tools, with a year-on-year increase of 44.2%.
