According to the latest data from the General Administration of Customs, China’s exports of mechanical and electrical products amounted to 117 million yuan in September, a year-on-year increase of 18%. The cumulative export value from January to September was 915 million, a year-on-year increase of 23%.
In terms of major varieties, 2.36 million machine tools were exported in September, a year-on-year decrease of 3.8%. This was the first year-on-year negative growth since June 2020. A total of 20.38 million machine tools were exported from January to September, a year-on-year increase of 32.1%. In September, the sales volume of downstream automobile, construction machinery and other industries was average, which affected the growth of import and export of machine tools.
In September, 9344 tractors were exported, a year-on-year decrease of 15.6%; from January to September, a total of 105,000 tractors were exported, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%.
