What process should be followed for the export of special containers by sea?

1. Inquiry for special cabinets

In addition to the port of departure and port of destination, the inquiries for special cabinets must provide the number of pieces, gross weight, and accurate size of the goods. Gross weight and size are the most important. Choose the appropriate container type and shipping company according to the cargo information, route and shipper's requirements. If the size is different from the actual size or the difference is large, the container cannot be loaded at that time or the shipping company cannot receive the goods, which will cause a certain loss.


2. Booking after confirmation of inquiry

After confirming the freight, the shipper shall provide a letter (the letter needs to display the correct consignee and consignor information, the Chinese and English name of the goods, the scheduled shipping company, the shipping schedule, the container type, the port of departure/destination, and the gross information of the cargo. 3. Box making of special cabinets (factory installation and warehouse installation)

Packing of special container cargo is an important link. Whether it is trailers to the factory for factory installation or factory shipments to the agency warehouse for interior installation, it must be operated in strict accordance with the shipping company’s lashing and reinforcement requirements. Do not cut corners and make your own claims. . Packing is also roughly divided into three steps:

1. Equipment packaging: According to the size and weight of the goods, choose compressed wood, logs, channel steel and other materials to make the packaging base, and then choose screws, wood squares, straps, welding and other methods to fix it in the box according to the shape of the goods. The cargo packaging design should meet the needs of hoisting and transportation, while ensuring the safety of the cargo, minimize the packaging size to save transportation costs.

2. Hoisting and packing: Choose suitable lifting and sling tools according to the packaging, lifting points, weight, size and work site of the goods; special cabinets are used to evaluate the occupied space based on the oversize of the goods in the box and then calculate the freight. of. Therefore, for a single batch of multi-container cargo, a reasonable packing plan must be formulated, which not only ensures that each container is not overweight, the number of containers used is the least, and the space occupied is the least.

3. Lashing and fixing: According to the characteristics of the goods, weight, size, and center of gravity, use materials that meet the requirements and bind and fix them at the designated place to ensure the safety of the goods during transportation. Meet the requirements of shipping companies. Some shipping companies have their own lashing requirements for frame cabinets, so they must confirm with the shipping company in advance, so as not to reenter the shipping company's designated yard in time for the containers, or have an impact on subsequent shipments.

Fourth, the transportation of special cabinets

Choose the appropriate model according to the specific size of the goods. If the height is higher, generally exceeding 3.6m, you need to choose a low-flat car to make the box, otherwise it will not be able to enter the port.
