It is reported that the first "Jingxi rice unmanned farm" will start construction in Haidian District, Beijing. At that time, the rice planting in western Beijing will be changed from traditional manual control to remote digital and intelligent control, and a new scene of rice production in western Beijing will be realized.

It is reported that Jingxi rice unmanned farm is jointly built by Shangzhuang Town, Beijing Zhongguancun Science City Innovation Development Co., Ltd. and Beijing Bochuang linkage Technology Co., Ltd. to apply high technology to all aspects of agricultural cultivation, management and collection, and build a smart farm project combining Internet of things, big data and 5g technology.

At present, the unmanned farm project has entered the full implementation stage. Two unmanned rice transplanters have been commissioned and are about to carry out rice transplanting. The development of the crop precision planting system and the unmanned farm digital integrated management cloud platform has been fully started, and the construction of the farm comprehensive operation command center and intelligent agricultural machinery warehouse are about to be completed.

It is understood that in the second half of 2022, the commissioning of the unmanned self-propelled plant protection machine and the unmanned harvester will be completed, and the rice harvesting operation and the whole process quality traceability in western Beijing this year will be completed.

Jingxi rice is also called "imperial rice". Haidian District implements the protective planting of Jingxi rice, covering an area of about 2000 mu. As an ecological conservation area and rural living area serving the construction of Zhongguancun Science City in Haidian District, Shangzhuang town is currently the main production area of western Beijing rice. The unmanned farm of western Beijing rice in Changle Village has 405 mu.
