The 2022 Munich International Robotics and Automation Technology Fair is being held in Munich, Germany. Exhibitors from various countries generally believe that due to the development trend of automation and continuous technological innovation, the demand for robots in industries such as automobiles, electronics and machinery has reached a high level, and the development prospects of industrial robots are broad.

According to preliminary statistics released by the International Federation of Robotics, headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany, more industrial robots will be delivered globally in 2021 than in any previous year, and the robotics industry is booming around the world. Data show that global robot sales hit a new record of 486,800 units last year, an increase of 27% over the previous year. Among them, the growth rate in Asia reached 33%.

At the scene of the International Robotics and Automation Technology Expo, Nigel Smith, executive director of TM Robotics in the United Kingdom, said that the company sells a large number of products to meet the needs of Chinese manufacturing customers. He said that at present the Asian market, especially the Chinese market, is very important for the company and its partners.

Bjorn Asmus, Account Manager of Isla Video Equipment Manufacturing Company in Germany, believes that Isla has a branch in China, and the Chinese market is a huge market with room for development for Isla. Even affected by the epidemic, Isla is still full of confidence in its future performance in the Chinese market.

When it comes to the future of robotics, Falk Hartmann, Head of Sales and Engineering, Intralogistics and Robotics, at Bosch Rexroth, Germany, believes that some customers in industry and logistics are currently struggling with simple tasks such as picking. Find employees, which increases the demand for lightweight robots. Bosch Rexroth's smart picking works in conjunction with artificial intelligence to, without a model, recognize a theoretically infinite number of shapes, adjust the direction of gripper movement accordingly, and independently take over path planning, helping previously manual picking stations to achieve automation.

In addition, future trends in robotics include collaborative robots that can work directly with humans without a protective cover, as well as combining these collaborative robots with mobile driving systems such as autonomous mobile robots. Customers have the flexibility to deploy them without engineering at different points in the production process.

Kim Dae-young, an executive of South Korean robot manufacturer Doosan, said that robots will become an indispensable part of human life, and Doosan believes that this is the future of the robot industry. In the future, the prospect of robot development is huge, and it can provide more solutions for human beings.

Sergio de Almeida of Japan's Kawasaki Robotics Co., Ltd. said that the development of the robot industry will maintain a positive momentum, and the software facilities of robots will also be more complete, and robots can make ordinary people's lives easier.

According to Michael Meisel, regional manager of Stewan, Austria, the development prospects of robots are huge, because the tasks of robots in the future are more complex and heavy, and robot manufacturers and customers are paying more and more attention to the endurance of robots. and performance.

Speaking of the challenges faced by the development of the robot industry, many industry insiders mentioned the current supply chain bottleneck. Hartmann said supply chain stability is one of the biggest challenges for the robotics industry right now, given the shortage of materials and high market demand. Ensuring supply chain security will continue to be a major concern for the entire industry going forward.

Smith said that global supply chain bottlenecks are a problem faced by most manufacturers at present, and everyone must do their best to ensure that customers receive satisfactory products at the right time.

The 2022 Munich International Robotics and Automation Technology Expo opened in Munich, Germany on June 21 and will last until the end of the 24th.
