The Italian CEPAV project is a high-speed railway connecting Brescia to Vernna, Italy. It is an important high-speed railway line running through Italy and connecting to France, bringing convenience to international trade enterprises. The project consists of two sections, with a total length of 9.6 kilometers of tunnels, which mainly pass through strata such as sand, pebbles and clay silt.

In view of the complex geological characteristics, China Railway Equipment has tailored an earth pressure balance shield machine with a diameter of 10.03 meters, equipped with a series twin screw machine system, which not only enhances the adaptability to high water pressure and large particle size pebble formation, but also ensures The construction safety is improved and the excavation efficiency is improved. Since the equipment was dispatched in March 2021, although affected by the new crown epidemic and complex geological factors, the technical service team of China Railway Equipment has always been stationed on the site, closely cooperated with the customer team, and escorted the equipment 24 hours a day. The good results of the excavation mileage of 28 meters and the maximum excavation mileage of 504 meters in a single month further demonstrate the comprehensive strength and brand influence of China Railway Equipment in the high-end market of international trade of international tunnel boring machines.
