Xu Niansha, president of the China Machinery Industry Federation, disclosed on the 13th that from 2012 to 2021, the scale of international trade import and export of China's machinery industry continued to jump, with the total amount of international trade import and export rising from 647.22 billion dollars in 2012 to 1038.658 billion dollars in 2021, breaking through a trillion dollars for the first time in the context of the global economic downturn. The export value increased from USD 350.6 billion to USD 676.54 billion, and the trade surplus increased from USD 53.9 billion to USD 314.422 billion, a record high.

Xu Niansha introduced that over the past decade, China's machinery industry has insisted on carrying out foreign exchanges and cooperation to promote high-level opening up. Machinery products have been exported to more than 100 countries and regions, and Chinese manufacturing and Chinese equipment have gained worldwide reputation.

The import and export of machinery industry accounted for 17.16% of the total foreign trade volume in 2021, up from 16.74% in 2012. Among them, the proportion of imports increased from 17.11% to 20.11%; The proportion of trade surplus increased from 23.36% to 46.48%. These fully demonstrate the important position of China's machinery industry in the global manufacturing industry chain supply chain.

In addition, the export trade structure has been continuously optimized. Over the past 10 years, the export product structure of China's machinery industry in international trade has been continuously optimized, and is rapidly upgrading from processing trade and low-end products to products and complete sets of equipment with high technology content and high added value in general trade. In recent years, the export of general trade in machinery industry accounts for nearly 70%. In recent years, the export of traditional advantageous products in the machinery industry, such as auto parts and low-voltage electrical equipment, has grown significantly. The export of finished automobiles, complete construction machinery and other products in international trade has shown outstanding performance. In 2021, the export of finished automobiles will exceed 2 million. The export of excavators, loaders, bulldozers and electric forklifts in construction machinery will grow significantly, becoming the main force driving the total export volume of international trade to a new high.
