Affected by various factors, the growth rate of China's international trade export of motor products has slowed down since this year. Zhang Sen, secretary-general of the Electrical Products Branch of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Mechanical and Electrical Products, predicted that, under the guidance of a number of national support policies, the growth rate of China's motor product exports in the second half of the year would be slightly higher than that in the first half of the year, and the annual export volume of China's motor products would increase by about 10% to 12% year on year.

According to the import and export data, from January to July 2022, the export volume of China's motor products in international trade was about 12.94 billion US dollars, up 11.4% year on year. "From January to July 2022, the United States, Germany, Japan, Italy, South Korea, Vietnam, India, Mexico, Indonesia and Thailand are the top ten destinations for China's electrical products export, accounting for 46.3% of China's total electrical products export." Zhang Sen said.

"Since this year, China's international trade exports of small and medium-sized motors have maintained a rapid growth, while the exports of micro motors have declined." Zhang Sen said. Data shows that in the first seven months of this year, China's exports of small and medium-sized motor products reached US $6.8 billion, up 18.3% year on year; The export volume of China's large motors reached 670 million US dollars, up 12.2% year on year; The export volume of generator sets grew steadily, with an export volume of 3.37 billion US dollars, up 4.6% year on year; The export volume of micro motors increased by 0.2% year-on-year to 2.05 billion US dollars.

At present, foreign trade enterprises of electric machinery are facing multiple challenges like other foreign trade enterprises. Since this year, the state has introduced a number of measures to help enterprises rescue.

In terms of export tax rebate, in April 2022, in order to help international trade enterprises alleviate difficulties and promote the steady development of import and export, ten departments jointly issued the Notice on Further Strengthening Support for Export Tax Rebates to Promote the Steady Development of Foreign Trade, proposing to further increase support for enterprise policies, further improve the convenience of tax rebate processing, and further optimize the business environment for international trade export enterprises.

In terms of industrial policy, in June 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other six departments issued the Action Plan for Industrial Energy Efficiency Improvement, proposing to implement the action for motor energy efficiency improvement. Encourage motor manufacturers to carry out systematic innovative design such as performance optimization, high efficiency of iron core and lightweight housing, optimize motor control algorithm and control performance, and accelerate innovation and upgrading of key materials such as high-performance electromagnetic wire, rare earth permanent magnet, high magnetic induction and low loss cold rolled silicon steel sheet. Promote energy-saving certification of motor and promote efficient remanufacturing of motor. Promote the use of enterprises to evaluate the energy efficiency level and operation and maintenance of equipment, scientifically subdivide the load characteristics and different working conditions, and accelerate the upgrading of motors.

Zhang Sen believes that in recent years, the motor industry has been highly valued by governments at all levels and supported by national industrial policies. The state has successively issued a number of policies, providing a clear and broad prospect for the development of the industrial motor industry. Driven by the policy, the motor manufacturing industry will turn to the direction of high efficiency and green.
