According to the customs data, in May 2022, China imported 31.383 million tons of thermal coal (including lignite, bituminous coal and sub bituminous coal, the same below), a significant increase of 108.11% year-on-year and 1.3% month on month. According to the customs data, it reached a new high since January 2021.
