The Rubber Authority of Thailand (RAOT) emphasized on July 12 that although Thailand has implemented "city lockdown" and "curfew" measures, rubber growers and people in rubber-related industries can continue to work. From 3 pm to 4 am, strictly follow the precautionary measures.

The director of the bureau Nakorn Trakwirapat said that the COVID-19 epidemic is escalating and is facing the risk of a public health crisis, especially in the Bangkok metropolitan area and the four provinces on the southern border, namely Songkhla, Narathiwat, Pattani and In Yala Province, various measures have been enacted in the area, including measures that prohibit people from leaving their homes between 21 o'clock and 4 o'clock the next day.

From July 12, this may cause concerns among rubber farmers and rubber tapping and rubber transportation during this period. In this case, because the Government Gazette announced the requirements issued in accordance with Article 9 of the Royal Decree, Emergency No. 27 states that agricultural professionals will be exempted from the prohibition on leaving their homes during this period. This also includes occupations in rubber plantations. Rubber farmers can tap rubber normally. Including the normal transportation of rubber and rubber products exports, you only need to report to the staff responsible for the area and strictly abide by the preventive measures. I believe that the announcement of the strict control measures will not affect the normal progress of the rubber industry. The bureau also requires rubber farmers and employees in the rubber industry to actively cooperate and comply with the measures.
