The World Bank raised its forecast for the global economy in 2021 from 4% in January 2021 to 5.6% in the recently released Global Economic Outlook. The improved forecast is mainly due to the recovery of major economies. The world still faces the difficulty of striking a balance between supporting economic recovery and ensuring fiscal sustainability.
The recovery of the global natural rubber market is still subject to a variety of factors, such as diseases faced by natural rubber producing countries, and other external factors such as the emergence of new Covid-19 variants, the availability of vaccine supplies, and national vaccination promotion plans.
