On the whole, the export volume in August was significantly lower than that in July, and continued to increase compared with the same period last year. According to customs data, the export volume of food grade phosphoric acid in August 2022 will be 39100 tons, the export amount will be 56492975 dollars, and the average export price will be 1446.17 dollars/ton, a decrease of 200.05 dollars/ton compared with the previous month. The export volume decreased by 12.15% month on month and increased by 33.78% year on year in August.

In August 2022, the export volume of phosphoric acid market declined significantly. In August, Thailand, Indonesia and South Korea were the top three major purchasing countries and regions. According to customs data, Thailand purchased 10025.81 tons, accounting for 25.67% of the total export volume of the month; Indonesia's procurement volume is 3709.6 tons, accounting for 9.50% of the total export volume of that month; South Korea's procurement volume was 2186.60 tons, accounting for 5.60% of the total export volume of the month. The top three accounted for 40.76% of the total exports.

From the perspective of enterprise registration place, Guizhou, Jiangsu, Yunnan and Chongqing are still the top four export provinces in August 2022. According to the customs data, the export volume of Guizhou Province was 16398.83 tons, down 24.16% month on month, accounting for 39.42% of the total export volume; The export volume of Jiangsu Province was 8026.14 tons, down 41.65% month on month, accounting for 20.55% of the total export volume; According to customs data, the export volume of Yunnan Province was 5139.52 tons, up 7.29% month on month, accounting for 13.16% of the total export volume of the month; Chongqing's export volume was 4478.56 tons, down 32.72% month on month, accounting for 11.46% of the total export volume of the month.

Phosphoric acid outlet analysis

According to customs data, the export volume of phosphoric acid in August will be at a low level in 2022. Except for the poor export volume in January and February affected by the Spring Festival holiday, the export volume in August fell below 40000 tons for the first time. However, compared with the same period last year, it has maintained a good upward trend in recent months.

In August, under the influence of high temperature and limited production and power supply, enterprises in Sichuan stopped production in a large area, resulting in a decrease in market supply. In particular, the supply of wet purified acid in Wengfuta Prefecture plant was significantly reduced after the shutdown, and the supply of wet purified acid was still very tight until September. Therefore, phosphoric acid manufacturers need to ensure a certain amount of domestic demand while shipping export orders in August, so the export volume decreased. After the fourth quarter, with the increase of output, the supply will gradually increase, and the export situation in the fourth quarter is still optimistic.
