According to Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation, in order to meet the demand for reliable declaration of recyclability and recyclable content in packaging, Berry Superfos Berry Factory located in La Gen ê te, France has obtained the recycling grade certification.
The EU's goal is to achieve recyclability and reuse of all plastics by 2030. Companies are making efforts to transition from a linear economy to a circular economy. Therefore, some European countries, such as Spain and the United Kingdom, have implemented or intend to impose taxes on non-reusable plastic packaging. Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation reported.
These initiatives to promote recycling have made it increasingly important for manufacturers in all industries to be transparent about recyclability and the use of recycled materials in their plastic packaging solutions.
According to Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation, for this reason, Berry Superfos, a part of Berry's global consumer packaging international division, has realized the production facilities of non-food packaging barrels that can provide recyclable labels in La Gen ê te.
RecycleClass is a voluntary, cross-industry initiative aimed at improving the recyclability of plastic packaging and the traceability of plastic waste. The certification proves the recyclability of plastic packaging and the recyclable content of plastic used in products.
S é bastien Morey, the factory manager of Berry Superfos La, said: "Many of our customers need a reliable way to show their customers and authorities that their packaging solutions are recyclable, including recyclable materials and quantities. Recycling certification provides appropriate solutions for our non-food customers, Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation Report.
"Their response is very positive, because it means that they can now make a credible statement about using post-consumer recycling (PCR) materials as the content materials of the Berry Superfos packaging solution."
Recycling certification requires a thorough audit process. Berry Superfos cooperated with Terra, an external auditor, and provided them with the necessary documents to evaluate the processes and products requiring certification.
Berry claims that it can add up to 80% of PCR materials to several solutions for non-food products, Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation reported.
