②The total purchase of uncoated free paper (UFS) increased by 13%;

③The total shipment volume of coated paperless (CFS) dropped by 17%;

④The total purchase volume of coated mechanical paper (CM) dropped by 35%;

⑤The total shipment volume of uncoated mechanical paper (UM) decreased by 21%.

2. Compared with March 2021

① The inventory level of printing and writing paper dropped by 2%;

②The inventory level of uncoated free paper (UFS) dropped by 3%;

③The inventory level of coated paperless (CFS) dropped by 1%;

④The inventory of coated mechanical paper (CM) dropped by 3%, while imports and exports dropped by 9% and 29% respectively;

⑤The inventory level of uncoated mechanical paper (UM) increased by 12%, and imports and exports decreased by 1% and 47%, respectively.

2. The main data of the packaging paper report in April 2021

3. The main data of the 61st paper industry production capacity and fiber consumption report

In 2020, the overall U.S. paper and paperboard production capacity will fall by 1.6%, and since 2011, the annual average decline has been 1.1%.

In 2020, the production capacity of container board will continue the ten-year expansion trend, setting a record of 40.4 million tons. The production capacity of toilet paper has climbed for 5 consecutive years. In the past 10 years, 8 years have shown an increase trend.

U.S. factories consumed 22.8 million tons of recycled fiber in 2020, the second highest level in the past decade. And the biggest source of growth is corrugated paper.

Carton paper was the only packaging grade that declined last year, but investigations show that there will be a slight rebound in 2021.

Due to the development of the electronic communication industry, the capacity of newsprint and printing paper will decline in 2020, and has declined for 10 consecutive years. Some paper machines that produce printing and writing paper have been or are being reused to produce boxboard and packaging paper.

The survey results show that in 2021, the total capacity of paper and cardboard will remain basically unchanged.

Fourth, the main data of paper recycling in 2020

In 2020, 65.7% of U.S. paper consumption will be recycled. Since 2009, the recycling rate of U.S. paper has been no less than 63%. As of now, it is twice that of the U.S. paper industry in 1990.
