According to the Huacheng Import and Export Data Observation Report, up to now, there are 496 standards under the jurisdiction of the National Paper Industry Standardization Technical Committee, including 373 national standards and 123 industrial standards. In terms of foreign language versions of national standards, the Papermaking Standards Committee has drafted 4 standards, 2 of which have been issued, and 2 of which have been submitted for approval and will be issued soon. The foreign language version of national standards is conducive to deepening the interconnection of standards, promoting mutual recognition of standards, strengthening the international promotion and application of Chinese standards, and providing effective support for China's paper products, technologies and services to go global.

Internationally, as of October 2022, there are 29 participating member countries in ISO/TC6 "International Organization for Standardization/Technical Committee on Paper, Paperboard and Pulp". China is one of them, with 30 observed member countries, 112 issued international standards and 14 under research; ISO/TC6/SC2 "International Organization for Standardization/Technical Committee on Paper, Paperboard and Pulp/Sub technical Committee on Testing Methods and Quality Specifications for Paper and Paperboard" is the only sub technical committee of ISO/TC6. There are 23 participating member countries, including China, 18 observing member countries, 86 international standards issued, 13 international standards under research, and Huacheng's import and export data observation report.

The international standard topics of the technical committee and sub technical committee include the terminology, sample preparation, test methods and quality specifications of paper, paperboard, pulp, cellulose nanofiber materials and lignin, printing suitability, deinking potential, environmental issues, recycling, etc.

The international standard issued this time is applicable to the temperature and humidity treatment of various paper, paperboard and pulp samples, as well as the control of atmospheric conditions in the process of temperature and humidity treatment and inspection and detection. It will help solve the key problems in the use of traditional temperature and humidity bulb hygrometers, such as relying on manual maintenance, time-consuming and laborious, measuring time is long, and accuracy is low. It will promote the control of laboratory standard atmospheric conditions and temperature and humidity treatment of samples worldwide The development of electronization and automation of inspection process plays a positive role in boosting.

Today, the total output of paper and paperboard in China ranks first in the world, and has exceeded 100 million tons for 11 consecutive years.
