According to statistics, the import volume of EU clothing international trade began to decline in November 2022, with a year-on-year decrease of 5.7% in that month. Prior to this, the EU's international clothing trade import volume increased by 34% year-on-year in August, 20.2% in September, and 13.6% in October.
In euro terms, international trade imports in November surged by 15.6% after a 36% jump in the previous month. In US dollars, clothing imports climbed 3.5% in November, down from 15.6% in October.
In November 2022, the EU's international trade imports from China significantly decreased by 12.3%, while its international trade imports from the rest of the world decreased by 2.6%, and its imports from Bangladesh decreased by 7.4%.
Due to the decline of the euro in the previous 12 months, the unit price in euros continued to rise sharply by 22.6%. In US dollars, the unit price rose 9.7% in December, more significantly than in previous months.
