China's textile import and export data shows that, under the influence of factors such as overstock in major markets, falling demand and decreasing orders, China's textile and clothing exports in October saw an increase in year-on-year and month on month declines.

China's textile and clothing exports are calculated in RMB: from January to October 2022, the total export of textile and clothing is 1800.7 billion yuan. The import and export data show that the export has increased by 8.4% over the same period last year (the same below), including 825.95 billion yuan of textile exports, an increase of 8.4%, and 974.75 billion yuan of clothing exports, an increase of 8.4%.

Import and export data show that in October, China's textile and clothing exports amounted to 173.42 billion yuan, down 7.3% and 8.9% month on month. Among them, textile exports amounted to 78.75 billion yuan, down 2.6%, 3.8% month on month, clothing exports amounted to 94.67 billion yuan, down 11% and 12.7% month on month.

China's textile and clothing exports are calculated in US dollars: from January to October 2022, the cumulative export of textile and clothing is 273.25 billion US dollars, an increase of 6.5%, of which the textile export is 125.66 billion US dollars, an increase of 6.8%, and the clothing export is 147.59 billion US dollars, an increase of 6.2%.

According to the import and export data, in October, China's textile and clothing exports were US $25.02 billion, down 13.6%, and down 10.8% month on month. The import and export data showed that textile exports were US $11.37 billion, down 9.1%, down 5.8% month on month, clothing exports were US $13.65 billion, down 17%, and down 14.6% month on month.
