According to customs data, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports to the United States totaled 14.89 billion US dollars, accounting for the bulk of exports (about 46.91%); The other two major exporting countries are Japan with US $3.3 billion and South Korea with US $2.86 billion.

However, compared with the same period in 2021, Vietnam's yarn export decreased by 10.6% to 4.08 billion US dollars; Among them, the export to China accounted for 46.4%, with the export amount reaching 1.89 billion US dollars and India about 100 million US dollars. According to customs data, Vietnam's yarn export volume is 1.32 million tons, down 18% from the same period in 2021.

According to the customs data, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports declined 0.8% in October compared with September 2022 due to the slowdown of international market demand; Exports in September also decreased by 31.9% compared with August.

According to customs data, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports in 2021 will amount to 32.75 billion US dollars, up 9.9% from 29.81 billion US dollars in 2020, and yarn exports will grow by 50.1% to 5.61 billion US dollars from 3.74 billion US dollars in 2020.

According to the Vietnam Textile and Clothing Association (VITAS), Vietnam has set an export target of 43 billion dollars for textiles, clothing and yarns by 2022.
