However, compared with the same period in 2021, Vietnam's yarn export decreased by 10.6% to 4.08 billion US dollars; Among them, the export to China accounted for 46.4%, with the export amount reaching 1.89 billion US dollars and India about 100 million US dollars. According to customs data, Vietnam's yarn export volume is 1.32 million tons, down 18% from the same period in 2021.

According to customs data, Vietnam's textile and clothing exports in 2021 will amount to 32.75 billion US dollars, up 9.9% from 29.81 billion US dollars in 2020, and yarn exports will grow by 50.1% to 5.61 billion US dollars from 3.74 billion US dollars in 2020.
According to the Vietnam Textile and Clothing Association (VITAS), Vietnam has set an export target of 43 billion dollars for textiles, clothing and yarns by 2022.
